Abstract

The study population included 100 patients undergoing gastric system surgery, their age ranging from 5 to 79. They were randomly assigned to two groups of 50 cases and 50 controls. The cases were given 3 mg HYDROCORTIZONE per one kilogram of their body weight; the control group received equal amounts of physiological serum. The two groups experienced the same circumstances. Their voices were recorded and controlled before and after injection and also other full conscionsness up to 5 days once a day. The findings indicated that HYDROCORTIZONE was an effective medicine for the prevention of VOCAL HOARSENESS.
