Abstract

Vocal layers are the first constituent of language which give a specific music to the words and play an important role in conveying messages. Nahjolbalaghah is the prominent example of rhetoric and uses vocal signs to convey meaning. The word order and the choice of vocabulary is like music and portrays the content. In the present paper we try to show the semantic value of voice in the Qaseah sermon to show how using certain voices in different situations manages to convey the message to the reader, showing the the rhetoric capabilities of the speaker.
