Abstract

Background: The disease transmitted by BLOOD because of the high morbidity and mortality are very important. And among them, infectious agents such as Hiv and HBV have important role. The HCV is a common cause in the hepatic disease and the most cause of the hepatitis after BLOOD transfusion. So diagnosis of this disease is benefit either the patient and prevents the society. The aim of this study is assess the frequency if the HEPATITIS C and its related factor in BLOOD donors Materials and methods: This is a cross sectional study.1552 donor was evaluated and the data was collected by a questioner included demographic characteristics, HCV Ab test. Then analyzed by using ki2 test. Results: In 0.39% HCV test was positive and it was more common in males, high risk jobs and low educated (P<0.05). There was no relationship between age and marital status with HEPATITIS C. (p<0.05) Conclusion: The frequency of the HEPATITIS C in donor of Kerman was less than other studies that shows the better screening of the Iran BLOOD transfusion organization
