Abstract

This article aims to explain the sociological aspects of people's Attitude toward the performance of Urban management in Ahwaz municipality. A descriptive-survey method was used to do the research. For data collection (with a sample of 382 people using cluster sampling with simple random sampling), a researcher-made questionnaire was used. The results of the research showed that the independent variables of social-cultural factors, technical-construction, municipal services performance, social Participation, awareness of citizenship rights, social and economic class, on the one hand, and the dependent variable of people's Attitude towards Urban management performance, on the other, a significant relationship did in fact exist. Among these variables, the performance of Urban management in the social and cultural dimensions and socioeconomic groups had the most and the least, respectively, share in the explanation of the dependent variable.
