Abstract

 Background: Numerous studies have investigated nurses 'experience of stress and Resiliency, but research that has explored nurses' experience of resilience and stress in the context of the fielddependent theory method has been neglected. Aims: To explain the nurses' experience of stress and resilience in the context of field-dependent theory. Method: The study was a qualitative study based on Glazier method. The statistical population of the study consisted of all the heads of Shohadaye Tajrish hospital in Tehran in year 1398. Fifteen individuals were selected using purposive sampling method. The information was collected through semi-structured interviews until theoretical saturation. Data were analyzed using open, axial and selective coding. Results: from the participants' point of view, five main factors related to nurses' stressfulness emerged in the hospital environment that could reflect nurses' perceptions of stressors and Resiliency factors, including organizational justice perception, Interpersonal factors, environmental factors, patient factors, and family factors. Conclusions: According to the results, factors affecting the promotion of resilience of nurses include coping strategies, conflict management strategies, error handling strategies, perceived personal resources, and job-related factors.
