Abstract

Introduction: To succeed in today's world, one has to adapt to a reality called change. The recent study is aimed to present the formation pattern of entrepreneurial managers' Mental Models in Mashhad educational hospitals. Methods: This research is applied in terms of the purpose and conditions of the type of exploratory research method used with the qualitative-quantitative approach. In the first stage of the qualitative approach, the statistical population consisted of 12 academic experts and hospital managers who participated in theoretical saturation through non-random sampling and snowball methods. Initial data were collected through qualitative content analysis and interviews with experts and were selected and categorized using the fuzzy Delphi method and questionnaire tool. Also, in the second step, a quantitative approach was used to determine the causal relationships between the dimensions of entrepreneurial managers' Mental Models from the views of 225 hospital managers selected based on Morgan's table by stratified random sampling. At this stage, the data were collected by field method and questionnaire tool and analyzed by Demetel method. Results: The results show that the sociological variable with the most value (1. 10) as the most influential, the skill variable with the value (-0. 52) as the second most influential variable and personality (-0. 52) have the least influence on the other variables. The variables associated with each respectively of impact were for the sociological, educational system, social incentives and role model. For the skill, success need, internal control center, predictive power, risk-taking, the tendency to creativity and innovation and for the personality, negotiation power, team building skill, planning ability, business management, decision-making power as the most critical parameters. The predictive power as the most effective and tendency towards creativity and innovation as the most influential variable were on other variables. Conclusions: Considering the findings of the study, nurturing entrepreneurial managers, and making proper use of human resources in Mashhad hospitals, it is recommended to identify profitable opportunities and make appropriate decisions by the managers of hospitals in Mashhad.
