Abstract

Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) is a conscious and completely voluntary behavior which totally enhances effectiveness of the organization, while it is not identified by official reward system. Organization will equip more resources and reduce the need for the official sources and expensive. The research examines the relationship between Work Ethic and Organizational Citizenship Behavior through survey. From among all working teachers in Kerman, 396 were selected as statistical sample. Inferential results are indicative of significant relationship existing between the teachers' gender, work experience, Education, those levels they are teaching at with Organizational Citizenship Behavior. On the other hand, no relationship exists between age, income and Organizational Citizenship Behavior. Also, Results from the two-variable test represented a significant positive relationship existing between dependable, ambitious, Considerate and Cooperative with Organizational Citizenship Behavior. Regression analysis showed that various dimensions of Work Ethic were capable of explaining 25% of Organizational Citizenship Behavior.
