Abstract

The aim of this paper is to study the relationship between Personality traits, background variables and Strategic thinking among Senior commanders and managers of NAJA. This practical quantitative research is descriptive in terms of method and cross-sectional in terms of time. The data is gathered by a survey along with a documentary research collecting and studying available knowledge. Based on research results, among big five Personality traits, “ conscientiousness” and “ extraversion” have respectively positive and negative significant correlations with Strategic thinking value; but other traits – agreeableness, openness to experience and neuroticism, do not have any significant relationship with it. Background variables including age, academic major and degree, work experience and post type don’ t exhibit significant relationship with Strategic thinking skill.
