Abstract

Nowadays the COOPERATIVES affect the scope of life in various aspects in the economy of Iran, though not as expected. The present article aims at examining the determinants affecting the PRODUCTIVITY in DISTRIBUTIVE COOPERATIVES. In this research, ILAM was selected as a case to be studied using survey methodology. 24 questions were finalized, after a pilot study, and organized in the form of a questionnaire and distributed among the sample of the study. The sample which consists of 11 percent of the population includes some general directors, boards of directors, inspectors and members of DISTRIBUTIVE COOPERATIVES in ILAM. There were two hypotheses: increasing the investment affects positively the PRODUCTIVITY; and employing skillful workers has a positive effect on PRODUCTIVITY. The descriptive and inferential statistic methods including t, z and X2 tests were applied to test the hypotheses. Findings of the study strongly support the two hypotheses. Results of X2 tests showed that there were no association between the respondents' answers and their job positions.
