Abstract

 Mineral trioxide aggregate (MT A) is one of new materials that were introduced for apicectomy at first but today it is used many purposes in endodontics. This study is done because of importance of economical purposes in dental materials.The purpose of this study is to intraosseous reaction of foreign MTA (proROOT) and Iranian MTA (ROOT) on PARIETAL BONE in rat.Twenty rats were divided into two groups of experiments (10 Rat).After anesthesia, one vertical incision in the ear diraciton was made and after making two defects in two sides of PARIETAL BONE, ROOT and proROOT were placed in them. Animals were sacrificed in 30 and 60 days time. After histopathologic preparation, H&E and von kossa staining, samples were evaluated for inflammation and osteogenesis.Results showed that in 30 days period there was less inflammation than 60 days period but osteogenesis was almost the same. As a whole there was no statistical difference in variables between groups.ROOT is an intraosseous biocompatible material like Pro ROOT.
