Abstract

 Aim and background: Supply Chain Resilience focuses on developing adaptability to prepare for unforeseen events and respond to disasters and recover from them. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the status of resiliency in a defense unit. Method: This research is an applied research in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey research in terms of how to collect data. The statistical population of the study includes 80 commanders and managers of one of the defense organizations based in Tehran province. To collect data, Benjamin Resilience Questionnaire was modified and revised according to the objectives, tasks and mission of the target organization. The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed based on the opinions of the experts and their reliability was confirmed using Cronbach's alpha test with a coefficient of 0. 828. Non parametric tests (binomial and Friedman) were used in data analysis due to the abnormality of the data distribution. Findings: The analysis shows that the factors of cooperation, flexibility, and redundancy are in a good condition and only the agility factor is in an unfavorable condition. Conclusion: The results of the research hypotheses test show that despite the unfavorable status of the agility factor, the readiness of the studied organization is in a good condition and according to the obtained results, executive suggestions and suggestions for future research have been provided.
