Investigating the Relationship between Islamic lifestyle and Students' Social Health and Psychological Security

Abstract

 The present study aimed to identify the relationship between the Islamic lifestyle and Social Health and Psychological security of secondary school students in Dezful county. The research method was descriptive-correlational and the statistical population included all high school students in Dezful county who were selected by stratified sampling based on Morgan table(N=368). Data Collection tool was the questionnaire analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient and multi-variate regression. The results of Pearson's correlation test showed that there is a significantly positive relationship between Islamic lifestyle and Social Health and Psychological security of secondary students. According to the results of this regression analysis, the independent variables of Islamic lifestyle (Beta Coefficent=%79) and Social Health (Beta Coefficent=%4. 3) had respectively the highest standardized regression effect on the dependent variable of students' Psychological security. Multiple correlation coefficient value (R=82%) showed strong correlation between set of independent and dependent variables. The coefficient of determination (R2=68%) also showed that 68% of the variance of Psychological security variable could be explained by independent variables. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that Islamic lifestyle leads to improvement and upgrade of Students' Social Health and Psychological security.
