Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between lifestyle (Traditional and modern) and Public health in Kerman Citizens. The research method was survey and the statistical population consisted of all citizens over 18 years old in Kerman, 400 of whom were selected through multi-stage cluster sampling and studied in autumn 2016. Data were collected using General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-28) and lifestyle questionnaire in both Traditional and modern dimensions. Data analysis was performed by SPSS23 software to calculate descriptive statistics including mean and standard deviation. Amos Graphics23 software was also used to model the independent and dependent variable's structural relationship and calculate path analysis fit indices. According to the findings, the mean overall health of the respondents was 28. 66. Also, modern lifestyle has a direct effect on Public health and with increasing tendency of modern lifestyle, their Public health decreases (P = 0. 006); There was no significant effect on Public health (P = 0. 224). The results of the proposed model fit the structural relationship between traditional (modern and modern) lifestyles and Public health with the data; therefore, the proposed model is appropriate and validated.
