Abstract

Axillady lymph node enlargement after BCG vaccination is frequent in infants. Cervical lymph node enlargement and chest wall abscess information occasionally observed. This case is one year old infant who referred to Jahrom Motahary Hospital with a stemal mass. Sonography showed a homogenous mass measured 14x14mm that was attached to chest wall. Otherwise sonography was normal. No finding was detected in conventional chest x ray. For final diagnosis, the mass was removed by surgical operation. The pathologic finding showed granulomatous inflammation with acute inflammatory reaction. Acid fast staining was negative, PPD skin test was 2.5 cm in diameter, (NBT-85%). The patient had no immunologic disorders and received two anti TB medication (INH-Rifampin) for 10 months without complication or evidence of tuberculosis. Based on pathologic findings it seems to be a case of BCG immune reaction that presented as a substernal mass, a case was not reported previously in literature.Results. In our study the mean pre and post treatment semen volume was 4.3 ± 2.1 cm3 and 3/1+ 1.9 cm3 respectively (P<0.01).The mean pre treatment sperm density was 62±28x106/mlitand the mean post treatment sperm density was 59±21xl06/milt (P>0.05).Conclusions. In our study treatment with 1 mg/ day finasterid for. 8 month did not affect spermatogenesis But semen volume was decreased.
