Abstract

MYCOTIC KERATITIS is an important disease of cornea which may cause blindness. Many genera of filamentous fungi & some yeasts are involved in the group of etiologic agents. Trauma and surgery are the main predisposing factors. In this paper, a 55 years old farmer man with MYCOTIC KERATITIS is reported. He had previous history of small crush due to forigen body in his eye while working in his .farm. Chemotherapy by amphotracin B & Natamycine was not successful, but the patient obtained his vision after penetrating keratoplasy. This is the first report of fungal keratitis due to FUZARIUM species in KHORASAN.
