Abstract

Evaluation is considered a vital principle in any managerial activity. Managerial activities will improve by using measurable information. Thus, without any new effort, we will have the effectiveness, suitable output and productivity expected. Hospitals are one of the most important health centers, in which due to their vast duties, is needed to be continuously evaluated. In this research, wehavetried to find out the present evaluationmethod used in government- and private-led hospitals in the city of Tehran In this cross-sectional descriptive study, top managers, including hospital head managers, directing managers and supervisors" view on this matter was gathered through a questionnaire. Data was gathered and analyzed by using descriptive and analytical statistical methods and SPSS software.The findings show that top-managers, esp. private- led ones, are not satisfied by the present method of evaluation and want it to be changed. After using the data gathered from professional experts, a suitable pattern was offered
