Abstract

Introduction: DISSOCIATIVE IDENTITY DISORDER is a rare condition in which, the person experience more than one identity. This disorder usually is a slow process and has bad prognosis. The most important underling factor is history of childhood sexual abuse. This disorder as a presentation of complication GRIEF was not reported before. Case Report: In this case report, a young man who developed DISSOCIATIVE IDENTITY DISORDER following his uncle’s death was reported. He had two identities with separate names and characteristics.Conclusion: Starting DISSOCIATIVE IDENTITY DISORDER acutely after a GRIEF is reported for the first time. It is suggested that this type of DISSOCIATIVE IDENTITY DISORDER was similar as typical description of this disorder.
