Abstract

Background: LAPARASCOPY CHOLECYSTECTOMY is a new method of gall bladder removal with less than 1% mortality and morbidity rate and less pain and hospitalization. Objective: To evaluate LAPARASCOPY CHOLECYSTECTOMY in Qazvin. Methods: This study was conducted on 47 operative patients with the age range of 20 to 70 years, having acute and chronic phase on cholecyctitis, from 1997 to 1999 in Qazvin Pasteur hospital Findings: The findings indicated that 5 patients were male (10.6%) and 42 female (89.4%) in which 3 of the cases were diabetic and 2 had heart problems. The mean period of hospitalization was 1.77 ±1.1 days. Conclusion: Tire findings concluded that LAPARASCOPY is a selective method for CHOLECYSTECTOMY operations.
