Abstract

The research purpose is to assess the effectiveness of EMOTION REGULATION in the MENTAL HEALTH of EPILEPTIC GIRLS aged 14-18 years in Isfahan. Therefore, 30 patients diagnosed with epilepsy were enlisted for the study and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The experimental group underwent 12 sessions of emotion-regulation interventions. Findings indicate that EMOTION REGULATION was effective in boosting the MENTAL HEALTH of EPILEPTIC GIRLS in pretest, posttest and follow-up. Moreover, mean scores of somatization, interpersonal sensitivity, anxiety, aggression, neuroticism in the posttest was significantly lower in the experimental group compared to the control group.
