Abstract

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE on QUALITY OF LIFE and its dimensions in a group of Shiraz UNIVERSITY STUDENTS. To do this, 403 students were selected using a multistage cluster sampling method. Data were collected using the brief version of EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE Questionnaire (petridse & Furnham, 2001), and the World Health Organization QUALITY OF LIFE scale (1998), were applied. Analysis of data using multiple regression analysis revealed that EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE was a good predictor of students' QUALITY OF LIFE and all dimensions of it, including physical health, psychological health, SOCIAL RELATIONSHIP, QUALITY OF LIFE environment.
