Abstract

 Dear Editor, Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) is the sixth most common cancer in the world and one of the deadliest cancers of the gastrointestinal tract. As HCC is recognized in advanced stages, it is the second deadliest cancer (1). Epigenetics means studying changes in the expression or function of genes that can be inherited to the next generation of cells without DNA alterations and histone modifications. The main Epigenetic mechanisms include DNA methylation, histone modifications, and changes in nucleosome positioning.
