Abstract

 The aim of this research is to improve the relationships between mothers and their young girls, who were the students of the first grade of high school in the second district of Tehran, through using the psychodrama method. In this research two high schools, as representatives of all high schools in the second district of Tehran, were randomly chosen. On the whole one hundred students of the first grade of high school were chosen (50 from one high school and 50 from the other). This study is a semi-experimental one with a pre-test and a post-test. After applying the conflict inventory on the research samples, and those with a conflict mark more than standard level were chosen .16 students were chosen randomly from these people and divided into two groups (8 students in experimental group and 8 students in control group) . Pre-test and post -test were conducted on each group with this difference that the members of experimental group attended in 8 psychodrama sessions. The measurement inventory in this research is a questionnaire of solving conflict with parents, which contains 15 questions and three scales of verbal aggressiveness, physical aggressiveness, and reasoning. Obtained results of data processing were studied and analyzed through descriptive indicators such as average, standard deviation and also through inferable indicators such as covariance test Obtained results indicated that the girls who have attended psychodrama sessions and those who have not show a significant difference in solving conflict with their mothers. The membership of young girls in psychodrama groups leads to boosting the rate of using reason to solving their conflicts with mothers and also leads to reducing the rate of using verbal and physical aggressiveness to solving conflict with mothers.
