Abstract

Effects of PROBIOTIC PROTEXIN at 4 doses of 0.15, 0.5,1 and 1.5 g/ kg food on the survival and GROWTH of RAINBOW TROUT LARVAe was investigated, using diet with no protoxin as control. Each treatment tray, with dimensions of 42.5x42.5 cm, was stocked with 265 trout LARVAe of 90±0.2mg average weight. The experiment was carried out in four replicates. Feeding percentage was ranged between 4%-7% of LARVAl body weight.After 60 days feeding trial, it was found that LARVAe fed with 0.15g PROTEXIN/kg food had better GROWTH performance than control (P<0.05). Also survival in LARVAe fed with 0.15g and 1g PROTEXIN /kg food was significantly higher than the with control (P<0.05).
