Abstract

With great interest, I reviewed the original article on healing effect of Perovskia abrotanoides Karel in burn injuries (IJNS 2019; 4(4): 175-180) (1). The authors have shown that P. abrotanoides ointment can accelerate wound healing by producing VEGF (1). First, I believe that the authors should have followed the study for at least two weeks to reach such a conclusion as most histological studies undertake the tissue sampling for 2 or 3 weeks (2, 3), and one week is not a proper time to judge and reach the mentioned findings. Second, the study lacks histological pictures to confirm a correlation between the expression of genes and the healing process...
