Abstract

HDL2 and HDL3 are the main subgroups of HDL-C .According to the researches.HDL2 is considered as an anti-risk factor in patients with cardiovascular diseases Measurement importance of these subgroups lead to devise different methods by researcher.In this study two methods of precipitation and electroforesis were compaired for measurement of the mentioned above subgroups. In precipitations method the subgroup of HDL-C were seperated in two stages using dextran sulfate (M.W=50000 dalt), MGCL2 and 6 H2O, and then the subgroups were determined through the enzumatic method and cholesterol content measurement by RA-I 000 apparatus.In electrophoresis method we used discontinuous gradient of polyacrylamid gel for analysis of HDL Subgroups.Data analysis gained from results showed no significant difference between two methods of measurement, so it can be said there is accordance between these two methods. Nevertheless two stages precipitation method by dextran sulfate, MgC12 and 6 H2O can be used as a simple, rapid and confident method in para clinical laboratories for measurement of HDL subgroups in patients with CHD.
