Abstract

INTRAGLOMERULAR MESANGIUM occupy intracapillary location of glomerular lobule. Mesangium contains matrix and cells. Matrix components are similar to basal membrane. Mesangial cell is stellate shape and has very process that connects them to inesangial angles of GBM. There is not any barrier between endothelium and mesangium so that leucocyte and others pass into mesangium. Mesangial cell protect integrity of glomerular lobules by process that joint to GBM. These cells prevent extrme expanding of capillaries and may constrict the capillarylumen. Mesangial cell phagocyte immune coplex, apoptotic leucocyte, remnant of debris, degraded GBM and matrix from inflamed glomeruli. Mesangial cells ORIGINate from embryonic mesenchymal cells that locate on periphery of glomerular arterioles and return to their site in glomreule. These mesenchymal cells form pericytes in other locations.
