Abstract:

There are different ways to provide needed bones for departments of anatomy. As the current ways take too much time and pollute work environment, as well as , damage the bones, this research was carried out in order to present a new method to provide fixed cadavers bones. 90 short and Long bones were separated from two fixed cadavers, and after the primary cleaning by scissors and scalpel, they were divided into three groups that each included 30 bones. The first group were put in autoclave with temperature of 121°c-124°c for 130 minutes, the second group for 6 hours and 30 minutes in commercial sulfuric acid and the third group for a week in commercial hydrechloric acid,.The soft tissues which had attachment to the bones of first group were separated easily and no erosion and flexibility were observed in the bones. The soft tissues of the second group bones also separated and the bones had necessary durability, but the soft tissues of the third group were not separated at all and the bones were soft and flexible. Results show that the autoclave method is better than other two ways, and it can be controlled.

Abstract:

Generally, it is believed that the mechanical obstruction (Lymphoid hyperplasia, facalith and tumors) is the major cause of acute appendicitis. In this prospective study, the causes of appendix lumen obstruction in 814 appendectomies specimens were studied. Among 814 patients 220 cases were normal and in 594 cases, some degrees of in flammation were observed, as well as two fecaliths and two carcinoid tumors in inflamed speimens were seen. Lymphoid hyperplasia in normal and inflamed groups was 47% and 36% respectively. The difference between two groups was not significant. Therefore it seems that mechanical obstruction does not play an important role in acute appendicitis.

Abstract:

Intraglomerular mesangium occupy intracapillary location of glomerular lobule. Mesangium contains matrix and cells. Matrix components are similar to basal membrane. Mesangial cell is stellate shape and has very process that connects them to inesangial angles of GBM. There is not any barrier between endothelium and mesangium so that leucocyte and others pass into mesangium. Mesangial cell protect integrity of glomerular lobules by process that joint to GBM. These cells prevent extrme expanding of capillaries and may constrict the capillarylumen. Mesangial cell phagocyte immune coplex, apoptotic leucocyte, remnant of debris, degraded GBM and matrix from inflamed glomeruli. Mesangial cells originate from embryonic mesenchymal cells that locate on periphery of glomerular arterioles and return to their site in glomreule. These mesenchymal cells form pericytes in other locations.

Abstract:

Responsible of education administration are commonly confronted with providing a suitable between-meals for students and according to their budget, various foodstuffs are purchased and distributed among students. But these foodstuffs aren't nutrient from view point of nutritionists. This project was performed to formulate and produce suitable between-meals for primary student’s consumption. Student cake was formulated then needed paste was prepared and baked for 20 minutes in temperature of 200°c. Placebo cake was made using same time of baking and temperature. Nafe EDTA was added to the paste to fortify it. After cheinical tests, assessment of digestibility WAS performed based on standard diet on 14 mice of 21 days old, then findings analyzed using descriptive statistics. Each resulting student cake with 86g weight, 300 calory and 10 grams protien, included 11.6% proteing, 8.7% fat and 21% moisture. Adding soy the color and moisture obserbtion increased and its digestibility reached 90%.Student cake, regarding its nutritional quality, economical price and enrichment ability can be used as suitable between-meals and can play a decreasing role in malnutrition of deprived and poor regions.

Abstract:

In this quasi- experimental study, in an effort to develop behavior theories-based planning of health education, three models of teaching personal hygiene designed and implemented in primary schools of khorramabad city in 1998-99 the goal was to compare effects of these models on students knowledge and practice. These models were: A- Teaching individual hygiene by teachers without awarding or education to the mothers.B-Teaching individual hygiene by teachers associated with informing and teaching mothers by researchers, c- In the third model, In addition to implementation part B, students also involved in the program. 735 students (divided into 3 groups) made our samples. Data of each model analyzed using paired t- test and results showed that all three models have increased student's knowledge and practice in individual hygiene (P=0.000) comparing A,B and C by ANOVA, showed that they have progressively increased knowledge. The percent of behavior progression was greater in model B than model A, but it was somewhat smaller in model C than the other models.

Abstract:

This experimental study carried out on 100 postmenopausal women to determine the effect of soy supplementation on Hot flushes. These cases divided into two groups, One group treated with soy supplementation and next group were given placebo. Using questionnaire data was gatherd.Statistic analyses showed no significant difference between two groups 24 hours before and after the treatment (p>0.05).But after 4th ,8th and 12th week of treatment decreasing of Hot flushes observed in soy group (P<0.05). It indicates that soy is superior to placebo. Results showed that 84% of women in soy group, and 22% of placebo group announced their tendency to use same type of treatment against Hot flushes.Consequently soy supplementation can be used as an easy and safe method for treatment of Hot flushes in postmenopausal women.

Abstract:

Different antibiotics are commonly injected in hospitals and clinics that can cause allergic side effects which varies from mild allergic reactions such as urticaria and flushing of skin to suddenly attack of Anaphylaxis. This complication has a low prevalence but it's very dangerous and fatal. Using Medline, no case or report of Anaphylaxis due to Ceftizoxime could be found so it was the first time that a case such as this observed and treated successfully without any problem.More details about this case such as its symptoms, its relations to mediators of reactions, cardiovascular and respiratory changes are discussed in the full article, as well as the standard principals and manner of injecting and guides for fast treatment are explained.
