Abstract

Urine cultures of patients referring to Shafa Laboratory in Birjand, Iran, during the last year were examined – 111 cases, out of the whole 600 cases, were Positive, 72 Cases (%65) being E. coli and 38 cases other bacteria. 62 out of the 72 positive cases were resistant to AMOXICILLIN, 10 cases intermediate and none of then were sensitive to AMOXICILLIN. 47 out of 72 Positive cases showed resistance to CO-TRIMOXAZOLE; 22 cases were sensitive and 3 cases intermediate.
