Abstract

 Introduction: EARLY MALADAPTIVE SCHEMAS, defined as cognitive and behavioral patterns of viewing oneself and the world that cause considerable distress, are increasingly being recognized as an important underlying correlate of mental health problems. The purpose of this study is an investigation of simple and multiple relationships of EARLY MALADAPTIVE SCHEMAS, self- concept and behavioral problems of DEAF ADOLESCENCE and ADOLESCENCE WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENT.Materials & methods: This study is a correlation study and universe included all deaf and blind students who have been in Yazd city. In this study 16 deaf students and 25 students with visual impairment in with were selected through accessibility sampling. Instruments used in this research included the early maladaptive questioner-40, self- concepts (SCSC) and SCI-4.Findings: Results indicate that there was no significant difference between EARLY MALADAPTIVE SCHEMAS between deaf and blind adolescence. But there were a significant relationship between EARLY MALADAPTIVE SCHEMAS and self- concepts and behavioral problems.Discussion & Conclusion: Considering the important of EARLY MALADAPTIVE SCHEMAS to control of self-concepts and behavioral problems in deaf and blind adolescence, it seems necessary to considered in counseling of this adolescences.
