Abstract

The purpose of the research is the study the approach of MODELING STRUCTURAL EQUATIONS in explaining the relationship between the style of love and the source of control in MARITAL SATISFACTION among faculty members of Islamic Azad University, Roudehen Branch. The sample of the study consisted of 226 faculty members chosen based on sampling methods consistent with the research population through using the formula: 50+8n. The research method was co-relational. The criterion variable, that is, MARITAL SATISFACTION was described at four levels of severe dissatisfaction, lack of satisfaction, relative satisfaction, and high satisfaction; the predictive variables were the degree of love at three levels of safe, bilateral, and reserved, source of control, the other predictive variable, consisted of two levels of internal and external. The research tools were three questionnaires of MARITAL SATISFACTION, adults love styles, and Roter source of control. The results of applying multi-correlational square showed that 61% of variance was related to love styles and 33% of the variance of source of control was explained by the variable of MARITAL SATISFACTION; the remaining 39% of love styles, and the remaining 67% of source of control variance were not explained by the model which is because of structure errors.
