Abstract

The purpose of the present paper was to study the relationship between the managers' EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT in OIL INDUSTRY. The population of the study consisted of 400 managers and supervisors, as well as 1200 staff under their supervision in 14 companies run by OIL INDUSTRY. Using Morgan Table, 195 managers and 530 staff were selected as the research sample. The EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE questionnaire was administered to the managers, and the KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT questionnaire was administered to the staff. The research was co-relational and descriptive type and both descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the obtained data. The results of the study showed that there was not a significant relationship between the two given variables, while there was a low relationship between the dimensions of EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE and KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT.
