Abstract: 

This study was carried out to analyze to what extent students have been evenly exposed to the Critical Thinking Skills through the exercises provided for in the KBSM Islamic Education textbooks. The sample in this study consisted of upper secondary (form 4 and form 5) Islamic Education textbooks. 278 exercises and 317 activities in the textbooks were analyzed. An instrument entitled "Critical Thinking Skills Code Analysis" was developed by the researchers, based on the works and ideas of past researchers and experts in the field, forming the basis for the instrument. Data was collected through the use of different types of forms. Frequency count and the percentages were used for data analysis. The results show that most of the exercises and activities in the textbooks focused more on the Information Gathering and Applying Skills, followed by the Inference Skills and Decision Making skills. There were no exercises directed towards Analogy Forming Skills.

Abstract: 

This research aimed to investigate the relationships between adolescence's encounter strategies, the extent of social support and academic achievement. The participants (n= 360) were randomly selected from Shiraz high schools' students. The results showed that there were significant positive relationships between social support and problem-directed and affect- directed encounter strategies. The results also showed that social support had significant negative relationships with avoidance encounter strategy and having less effective strategies. The academic achievement had significant positive relationships with social support and the problem-directed strategies. Regression analysis results also showed that among various encounter strategies and social support, the problem-directed encounter strategy was a significant predictor of the academic achievement as dependent variable.

Abstract: 

This research was done to identify the interest of the unemployed adult learners to education in this new branch in Qazvin city, as well as to realize the reasons they have chosen this new branch. This is a descriptive method that covers all the learners in grade 2 or three at adult knowledge – Job schools in Qazvin city. There are 2352 learners among whom 384 learners have been chosen at random as the sample. The tool for collecting information was a 02 - question multiple choice test. The kron bakh '"' quotient was 78 percent. The results of the tests are as follow: 1. Getting a Job easily caused the unemployed adult learner to have a tendency to technical training. P>0/100 2. Getting the diploma more easily made them to choose technical training. P>0/100 3. The ease of continuing the education to the level of H, N.D. caused them to have tendency to technical education. P>0/100 4. Having a tendency to this new branch is less among persons aged 51-02 than others. P>0/100 5. The tendency of unemployed adult learners is in order of services, industry and agriculture. 6. The unemployed adult women have more tendency to technical training than the adult men. P>0/100

Abstract: 

Children's understanding of mind has recently attracted great attention in developmental psychology. In the new wave of research in this area, it has been argued that human beings are equipped with a certain capacity through which understand others. This capacity or what is called "theory of mind" is ability to impute mental states to self and others. According to this literature, by having a mentalistic understanding of behaviors, a person can appreciate, explain, and predict others' behaviors. The processes and mechanisms involved in theory of mind reasoning and their developments have been extensively studied during last two decades. The false-belief reasoning tasks as standard tests in measuring theory of mind ability generally show that children about 4 and 5 years are able to succeed in such tasks. Accordingly, it has been argued that children before 4 years have an undeveloped understanding of mind. Theory-theory, modularity and simulation approaches each describe theory of mind specifically. In the following paper, the theory-theory, the modularity, and the simulation's perspectives on processes and mechanisms involved in theory of mind have been explained.

Abstract: 

In this research the writers have introduced the effects of in-service -training on increasing of manager's effectiveness and their efficiencies. The results of the research are as follows: 1. Administrators with in-service training in shaping human relationship are more effective and have better function in organization from a teacher's point of view. 2. Administrators with in-service training give more attention to employees training than other administrators and have better function and efficiency. 3. Administrators with in-service training in acceptance of changes and innovations in organization have better function. 4. Administrators with in-service training in having confidence to do the affairs have better function. 5. Administrators with in-service training have better function in doing their duties.

Abstract: 

This research applied a factor analysis statistical method to study the validity and reliability of ISI-6G identity Questionnaire. The questionnaire has a well internal consistency. Its validity was tented through a simultaneous implementation against goldbery General Health Questionnaire (G H Q - 28) among high school students in Isfahan. Findings show that the Identity style Questionnaire has a high validity and thus it can be used as a useful instrument for evaluating identity formation from an information processing perspective. It is recommended that the psychoanalytic characteristics of this questionnaire be studied on other age groups and clinical as well as non-clinical populations. The paper also suggests that other personality variables be studied.

Abstract: 

This paper addresses the relations between the universities and industry by considering the theories related to Higher Education such as Relationship Marketing, Resource dependence, Professionalism and Intellectual Capital Construct. It discusses the mutual interests of this relation, and the related problems. The paper seeks to present a proper dialogue in developing this relation, and discussing the importance of joint research programs. The way to construct deep relations is highlighted in the paper through discussion of the need for joint training programs in which short and applied ones are emphasized. Due to the need for a comprehensive study, the importance of a strategic management approach is discussed in order to pave the way for a long- term plane.
