The change in added value of industrial activities caused by industrial-economical policies is an important indicator to realize the status of industrial structure. By using the added value data of 23 industries in Tehran province, this paper tries to analyze the construction of industries and determine the relative advantage of all industrial activities by the help of current indices such as the mean of structural changes indicator and Balasa relative advantage indicator during 2000-2006. The results of structural analysis represent that, of the industries under study by ISIC 2-digit codes, the industries like clothing, manipulating and dyeing the fur, production of coal, oil refinery, productive machinery production, convection, vehicles and trailers, other transportation tools, furniture and unclassified artifacts have high added value compared to the base year. That is, they have a positive structural change. Also, in these years, among different industry group–industries classification by ISIC 2-digit codes–there are merely 3 activities including clothing, manipulating and dyeing the fur and furniture and unclassified artifacts production have both positive SIVi and SRCA indices. So, in Tehran province, only above 3 industries noted relative advantage and based on industrial development.
