Abstract: 

The objective of this study is to identify the impact of school social climate on communications and interaction behaviors of the high school students. The population of the study is high school teachers of high schools located in the district 15 in Tehran. The sample included 300 students who were selected based on systematic random approach. For this post hoc research, the researcher developed a 45-item questionnaire with the reliability index of 0.93. The results of data analysis, both descriptive and inferential statistics, revealed that:1) There is a highly significant positive correlation between schools’ social climate and students’ interaction (P<0.01).2) There is a highly significant positive correlation between schools’ social climate and students’ law abiding (P<0.01).3) There is a highly significant positive correlation between schools’ social climate and students’ accountability (P<0.01).4) There is a highly significant positive correlation between schools’ social climate and students’ group cooperation (P<0.01).5) There is a highly significant positive correlation between schools’ social climate and students’ empathy (P<0.01).6) There is a highly significant positive correlation between schools’ social climate and students’ criticizing and openness to criticism (P<0.01).7) There is a highly significant positive correlation between schools’ social climate and students’ self-esteem (P<0.01).

Abstract: 

In this study, the effect of ICDL training courses on improving performance of the staffs of technical faculties’ campus in the University of Tehran. Data collected through a five-option questionnaire whose validity was reviewed by a number of university professors and whose reliability was calculated using Cronbach’s Alpha as 0.85. The population of the study was comprised of 120 staffs and technical experts employed in the campus of Tehran University. The research sample, totally 92, was determined using Morgan's sample size tables. The results of inferential statistics showed that there is a relationship between ICDL training courses and skills of new employees, their accuracy and effectiveness, speed and amount of staff work, job success, and their interest to work.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the present study was to present an applied model for assessing the faculty members’ capabilities in different fields of study in the humanities and engineering in order to qualitatively promote the faculty members of Islamic Azad University. The research is descriptive and qualitative. In order to assess the faculty members’ professional capabilities, the previous studies, professors’ and experts’ views were taken into consideration. It was done through surfing the net and the related databases. The data collected formed a tool in the form of a questionnaire which consisted of 9 components. The present and the desired situations were labeled from one to ten and the faculty members chose from one to ten to describe the situation. The research population comprised all the faculty members of Islamic Azad University in the humanities and engineering who were working during the academic year of 2009-10 out of which 384 were chosen as the research sample. In order to achieve the desired number of subjects, the first sample comprised 450.  Sampling was done applying the multi-stage method. In the first stage, 4 zones out of 12 zones were randomly selected simultaneously which appeared to be zones 4, 12, 8, and 11. In the second stage, out of each zone, from 2 to 4 university branches were randomly selected. On the whole, the research sample consisted of 276 faculty members. In order to describe the obtained data, the methods of descriptive statistics were applied which consisted of measure of central tendency, dispersion, and distribution. The inferential statistics methods consisted of correlation coefficient, single variable regression, t-test, and path analysis. The results show that there are differences between the present and desired situations related to the following components: 1) philosophy and purpose, 2) management strategies, 3) Clarification, 4) the development of participation, 5) information technology, 6) human relations, 7) metacognition, 8) evaluation and repeated engineering system, 9) the stages of executive framework. Regarding the third research question, using the Cronbach’s Alpha formula, each obtained result along with the total score of each component were shown while the coefficients of correlation which were statistically significant were omitted and as a result 36 statements out of 53 were chosen. In order to assess the capability model of faculty members, the concurrent regression analysis was applied. The related diagram shows that the 3 components of human relations, evaluation and repeated engineering system, and the stages of executive framework has significant relationship with the model, and the component of clarification has a negative relationship with it. In order to test the validity of the model, it was given to 11 experts in the field of educational administration, and it was confirmed by 90% of them.

Abstract: 

The present research, carried out in 2009, aimed at studying the effective factors in resource management and e-learning processes. In this descriptive, survey, and cross-sectional study, the population of the study consisted of managers, professors, experts, and other specialists involved in electronic learning in Tehran. 98 participants were selected randomly as sample group. Statistical data were collected through researcher-designed questionnaire using global experiments. Data validity was identified according to the experts of this field. The stability of the questionnaire was measured 0.80 through Crobnach’s Alpha using SPSS software. Data analysis was performed through both descriptive and inferential statistics (chi-square test). The results showed that strategic factors, legal-administrative factors, technical-technological factors, educational factors, economic factors and social-cultural factors are very important in the development of e-learning, respectively.

Abstract: 

The aim of this research was constructing and standardizing coping strategies questionnaire with stress for college students. The population of the study included all students in different branches of Islamic Azad University of Roudehen in academic year 1387-88. 635 students were drawn by stratified sampling. The instrument (coping strategies questionnaire including three components of problem-oriented, psychoemotional-oriented and avoidance-oriented) consist of 49 Likert-type items with four rating scale according to the theories of Freud, Lazarus & Folkman, Blaker and others. The reliability of test was estimated using Cranbach’s Alpha (0.80).Construct validity of test was assessed through factor analysis (pc) with varimax rotation. This analysis showed that each of the components has explained 47.51 and 52 percentage of construct validity of this study. The findings of research showed that 1) this questionnaire has a proper reliability and construct validity. 2) Separate tables of norms were computed for each of components and for males and females in t-score and percentile rank to assess coping strategies questionnaire with stress. This instrument could be used for clients confronting stress in planning for treatment.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the study is to identify the effects of educational factor on social trust in Islamic Azad University among Tehrani Citizen in 2010. It initially sought whether there was a relationship between social and educational factors of Iranian society and their social trust and which factor shows a higher impact factor. It was a survey research and data were gathered by administering a questionnaire to 1000 students of Islamic Azad University who were selected through cluster sampling method. The researcher-made questionnaire was based on Likert scale with the content validity index of 0.85 and Alpha index of 0.95. In order to analyze the data and test research theoretical model, SPSS and LISREL softwares were used respectively. The results of this study revealed that there is a significance relationship between social and educational factors (including social status of parents, social status of Islamic Azad University, access to library, quality of education, educational space, and educational structure) and the dependent variable, i.e., social trust. Moreover, the results of structural equation model imply the relation between independent and dependent variables which can be claimed that presented models have pleasant fitting and there is favorite conformity between depicted model or structural model with empirical data; this means that the variables have suitable qualification to be used in the final model of research.

Abstract: 

The main purpose of this study is to provide a model for upgrading the level of job involvement among managers in Islamic Azad University. The research methods used in this study were cross-sectional and correlational. Since this research was done in universities in the natural environment, the variables were not manipulated and the researcher's intervention was at the minimum. Totally, 198 managers and chancellors of Islamic Azad University branches were randomly selected. The tools used were Cognitive Style Inventory (CSI), and Rotter’s (1978) Locus of Control Scale, Mowday et al. (1979) Organizational Commitment Questionnaire, and the researcher-made Leadership Pattern questionnaire. The results of multiple regression showed that a model can be presented to predict and upgrade job involvement based on the leadership patterns, cognitive styles, and locus of control.  Path analysis also indicated that there are positive and negative relationship between job involvement and the above variables.

Abstract: 

Instructional technology, with the theoretical bases of the psychology of learning and cultural psychology, uses the current methods in the field of instruction design, so instructional designers’ jobs has changed comparing it to the past. The purpose of this study was evaluating the impact of applying Merrill instructional design model on learning rate and achievement motives in high school’s first- grade biology lesson. The population was comprised of all of the male first-grade high school students in Mahallat Town. To choose the sample, the multi-stage cluster random sampling was used. The total number of students was 57 who were attending two classes, 28 and 29 students each. The instrument of the study included learning tests and Hermanz Achievement Motivation questionnaire. For the control group pre-test, post-test was used. The findings of this study showed that: 1) the learning rate of the students taught by means of Merrill instructional design paradigm is higher when compared with the students who were taught traditionally, 2) the students’ achievement motives rate in both groups showed no statistically significant difference. In general, the use of Merrill instructional design model caused an increase in learning rate, retention, and achievement motives.
