The objective of this research was to identify and find the level of affect of social factors on students' political participation of Roudehen Branch, Islamic Azad University (IAU) in academic year 2009-10. The statistical society in this research was 13.411 the male and female students studying in Bachelor's Degree program. By applying Cochran formula the sample under analysis was of computed 373 students, among those students 187 were females and 186 were males. The research methodology of this research was Survey Method. The desired data and information were gathered by using library and field methods and by means questionnaire. The desired students were chosen by classified sampling method in proportion with the quantity and ultimately by applying simple random method. The findings of the research were formed in descriptive tables and statistical tests by applying SPSS software. The independent variable in this research was social factors including: 1. The level of importance and the hours students spend for mass media such as TV, radio, satellite, internet and the press, 2. The level of political nudge of the students 'involvement, 3. The social status of the parents of the students, the occupations, the education of the parents and the monthly income of their family, 4. The degree of communications of the students with their coetaneous, 5. The degree of activities of the students in political parties of the university, 6. The gender of the students, 7. The marital status of the students, 8. The students field of studies and 9. The age of the students. From among the above-mentioned factors (hypotheses) the items Nos. 2 to 8 have a significant relationship with political participation of the students; in other words those hypotheses are attested. The hypotheses Nos. 1 and 9 have no significant relationship with political participation of the students, so both of them are rejected. The dependent variable in this research was political participation of the students.
