Abstract: 

The present study aimed at exploring the predictability of the institutionalization of quality in schools based on the extent of their compliance with the Total Quality Management (TQM) components. This descriptive study was of correlational type. The sampling units were at the two levels: schools and teachers. The sampling frame consisted of all the public high schools in the West of Mazandaran province (36 high schools, 940 teachers). The sampling method was conducted in two stages based on purposive and stratified random sampling methods. First, 20 schools were sampled based on history, stability in management, socio-economic conditions, and student population. 506 teachers attended these schools out of whom 331 were selected in accordance with Krejcie and Morgan's tables using stratified random sampling method. The data were collected through two questionnaires; SCCTQM and IQS. The data were, then, analyzed using Pearson correlation and multivariate regression models (Inter and Step-wise). The results revealed a significant relationship between the levels of schools' compliance with TQM and their institutionalization of quality. The analysis showed that the level of compliance with components of TQM can, to some extent, predict the degree of institutionalization of quality in schools, as well.

Abstract: 

The aim of the present study was to investigate the role of organizational culture in the formation of organizational citizenship behavior. This descriptive study utilized survey method to collect data. The research instruments used were the Stephen Robins’ organizational culture questionnaire (reliability= 0.85) and a researcher-designed questionnaire of organizational citizenship behavior (reliability= 0.72). The sample consisted of 216 randomly-selected experts working for the Ministry of Education. Data analysis involved descriptive and deductive statistics including Pearson’s correlation coefficient and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of SEM indicated that organizational culture exerts the highest effect on the formation of organizational loyalty. In addition, organizational culture positively affects the formation of humanism, commitment, organizational participation, and organizational politeness and obedience.

Abstract: 

The current study aimed at studying the relationship between Total Quality Management and empowering and performance evaluation of Youth and Sports Department staff in Fars province. The research was descriptive and the total population included 160 staff from Youth and Sports Department of Fars province. A sample of 113 was selected randomly according to Krejcie and Morgan’s table. Three Questionnaires were used to collect data. Total Management quality, empowerment, and performance evaluation were analyzed through Pearson correlation, multiple regression, and variance analysis. The results of statistical analyses showed that there was a significant relationship between the dimensions of Total Quality Management and empowering. Further, a significant relationship was found between the dimensions of Total Quality Management and performance evaluation.

Abstract: 

The main purpose of this study was to examine the instructors’ and principals’ perceptions (elementary, secondary, and high schools) regarding the application of TQM in educational systems for creating innovation, improving work process, and understanding the relationship between TQM and creating a supporting environment for innovation in Shiraz educational zones. A Likert scale questionnaire with verified validity and reliability was developed by the researcher to collect the data of the study. Out of a population of 12577, 1420 instructors and principles were selected by employing stratified random sampling. Pearson correlation was then used to analyze the data. The results of the study revealed that, there were strong relationships between the independent variables (autonomy, communication, flexibility, supportive management and participation) and technological innovation (r=0.735). Furthermore; there was a strong relationship between technological innovation and innovation in organization (r=0.769). This relationship was intensified when considering the influence of TQM culture. Based on the findings of the study, TQM can perform as a philosophy of management and organizational culture for creating and improving Innovation in educational organizations.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating role of 2*2 Model of developmental goals and cognitive strategies in relation to the implicit theories of intelligence and educational development within the framework of a casual model. To this end, 261 participants consisting of 195 girl and 66 boys were chosen from the students of psychology of Marvdasht Islamic Azad University based on simple random sampling. They were administered Implicit Theories of Intelligence Scale (IT IS), the Achievement Goal Scale, and Motivated strategies for effective self-learning questionnaire (MSLQ). The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between entity theory through performance goals (tendency and avoidance) with surface strategies, and it had negatively significant relationship with development. Furthermore, there was a positive relationship between incremental theories by mastery-avoidance goals with strategy of effort regulation through mastery goals of tendency. Model indexes indicated that the proposed cognitive model was efficient.

Abstract: 

The aim of the present study was to examine the relationship between spiritual intelligence and style of leadership in secondary schools in the city of Gorgan. The method of study was descriptive and correlational. The population involved 100 high school administrators working in secondary schools in Gorgan in 2010. The instruments utilized to collect the data, were the questionnaires of King and spiritual intelligence and leadership style of Bardnz and Mtzkans. Pearson correlation coefficient, regression and student t-test was used to analyze the data. The results of the analysis indicated that, there was no relationship between spiritual intelligence and leadership style, relation–ordinate and leadership style task–ordinate. Furthermore, there was a positive relationship between leadership style combined with spiritual intelligence (high morale and high productivity). The findings of the study also demonstrated that the style of combined leadership was prevalent in male leaders rather than in female leaders. However, there was no difference in the variables of styles of leadership according to relation-oriented, task–ordinate and spiritual intelligence.

Abstract: 

The purpose of the study was to investigate and compare value system of principals and teachers as well as the dimensions of their value system based on Schwartz's fundamental values theory. To this end, A sample of 327 Principals and teachers was selected using stratified random method in the academic year 2009-2010. For data gathering, Schwartz Value Survey was used and its reliability was between 0/36 and 0.76 and its validity was 0.74. Data analysis (ANOVA) indicated that the value system of principals and teachers was similar it included dimensions of benevolence, universalism, security, self-direction, tradition, power, conformity, achievement, stimulation and hedonism. There was a significant difference between these dimensions at 0.0001. Furthermore, the results of two-way ANOVA showed that there was no significant difference between dimensions of value system of principals and teachers in terms of variables of gender, academic levels and year of experience.

Abstract: 

The present study investigated the fitness between industrial needs of Falavarjan city and technical and professional training of art school for girls and boys. In this research a descriptive analysis was conducted in two sections of documents analysis and needs assessment (employing Delphi technique). A sample of 52 employers was selected through stratified random selection method from a population of 218 employers. Data collection involved the instruction progression documents such as documents which were used for developing the part of technical and professional training, the statistical annals of Isfahan province, the existing document in the planning assistance of Isfahan’s Deputy Governor, in the department of education, industry and mining department and also the resources which were available in the library of Falavarjan city. For data analysis document analysis was conducted and frequency and percentage at the level of descriptive statistics were used. The findings indicated that there was a relative correlation between the needs of city in industrial section with technical and professional training of girls and boys schools in the field of welding, industrial electricity, electrotechnique, industrial drawing, car mechanics, package design, machine tools, metal plating, construction, accounting, computer graphics and the appropriateness of administrative affairs. In addition, the results showed that there was not any relationship among industrial electricity, electrotechnique, industrial drawing, car mechanics, package design, machine tools, metal plating, construction, accounting, computer graphics and the appropriateness of administrative affairs.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this research was to study the relationship of organizational learning and career self- efficacy to work engagement at Isfahan Steel Company. Descriptive correlational method was used in the current research. The research population consisted of 75 managers at Isfahan steel company. A sample of 62 participant were selected from this population. Research instruments were three questionnaires: Gomez, et.al’s (2005) organizational Learning, Betz’s (2004) career self –efficacy and Schaufeli, et.al’s (2006) work engagement. The Validity and reliability of all three questionnaires were verified by educational experts at 0.93, 0.92 0.95 respectively. In this research, the Pearson correlation coefficient, variance analysis, multiple stepwise regression, path analysis were used. Findings showed that there was a significant relationship between organizational Learning (r=0.32) managers’ work engagement and career selfefficacy (r=0.36). The results of multiple regression also showed that work engagement directly affected organizational learning (b=0.68).

Abstract: 

The study was conducted to work out solutions for qualitative development of Islamic Azad university of Lamerd branch with an emphasis on the amount of faculty members’ awareness of curriculum development criteria and to offer suggestions for qualitative development in university. To achieve this aim, the awareness degree of factors used in curriculum like needs analysis, methods of choosing pedagogical objectives and content selection, organization, presentation and time adjustment as well as using of technology in teaching and evaluation procedures were investigated to take advantage of both its merits and demerits in curriculum development for faculty members. The study was a field study. The participants were all 39 faculty members of Azad University. Data was collected through a researcher-made questionnaire whose validity was established seeking the experts’ inspection. The data were analyzed using SPSS software in two levels: Descriptive Statistics (frequency, percent, bar chart, mean, median, mode, and skewness) and Inferential Statistics (Chi-Square test). The results showed that faculty members’ degree of awareness of needs analysis, content selection and presentation, time adjustment methods, and evaluation procedures was “much”, and as regards objectives selection, content organization methods, and using technology in teaching it was “average”.
