The mutual relations between the crisis and Political Development are one of the main preoccupations of the human society. in order to move toward political development, Political systems face problems in Areas which might have internal or external backgrounds. In the domestic sphere, the problems stems from the opposition of masses or the elites. In the external arena, they are the results of the indirect involvement of outsiders. When these problems are deep, they could turn into the crisis. Passing through the crises, thus, and their ways of handling is one of the most critical issues that will lead society into political development. Using descriptive research method and relying on documentary sources, this article try to answer the following question: “what roles do the political crises have in the political development of Iran? The total number of 82 Professors, Ph.D. and M.A. students in different trends are the statistical population of this study in the field of political science in the Universities of Tehran. Using Lucian Pye’s pattern of the most important crises in political development, The findings of this study show that Political crises such as the identity, legitimacy, participation, distribution and influence have impacted the presence of the masses In political and social transformations and, thus, have played big role In the process of political development In the Iran.
