Abstract

Mental models as series of pre-existing presuppositions interfere in the process of DATA analysis. In different contexts, they are studied with different titles such as cognitive biases, schemas, mental disciplines, and mental stereotypes in different texts. However, proper analysis of information requires familiarity and categorization of interfering MENTAL MODELS in analyzing the information. The purpose of this paper is to identify MENTAL MODELS influencing the process of analyzing DATA. The paper tries to answer the following question: What factors lead to the activation of MENTAL MODELS in DATA analysis? In order to answer this authors use causal Research Methodology on the intelligence analysts statistical society, of a total of 125 patients randomly selected. Using a 20-item questionnaire, the validity and reliability of the answers was evaluated through the content validity assessment based on the method of carcass (0.72), And Cronbach's alpha (0.86). The results of statistical analysis showed that its factors can be categorized into four general classes: analyst Personality characteristics, intellectual history, and complexity of field of information, as well as physiological sensory barrier.
