Abstract:

Introduction: The aim of this study was to investigate the role of resistance training on hormones involved in muscle hypertrophy. Methods: 30 professional athletes randomly into three groups of high intensity resistance training, traditional resistance training and controls were divided. After initial sampling, the intervention groups were active for 12 weeks. Blood samples were taken 48 hours after the last training session to remove the response to the last training session. All data were analyzed at the significant level P 0. 05. Results: The results showed that cortisol, testosterone, weight, fat percentage and body mass index in the high intensity resistance training group had a significant change compared to the control group and traditional resistance training (P<0. 05). The results also showed that the strength of the upper body and lower torso in the intervening groups increased significantly compared to the control group (P<0. 05). Low trunk strength is also a significant difference between the intervention groups and the control group. But there is no significant difference between the traditional and high intensity resistance training group (P>0. 05). However, these incremental changes have been more pronounced in the periodic resistance group. No significant change was observed in insulin, insulin resistance, glucose and glucagon (P>0. 05). Conclusion: The intensity of training seems to be an important and influential factor in the rate of change in factors related to athletes' performance. But it did not change the hormonal status of the athletes. Of course, more research is needed in the future to reach a definitive conclusion.

Introduction: Fatty liver is on the rise in the world, so the aim of this study was to investigate The effect of eight weeks of endurance training, injection of growth hormone lipolytic fragment (AOD9604) on CK18 and liver enzymes of NAFLD on mice induced mice induced by high-fat diet. Methods: In This experimental study, 28 male mice were, divided into four groups(n=7): control (C), Exercise (E), Exercise + Fragment (EA), Fragment without training (A) group. The Medium intensity endurance training program was performed for eight weeks and 5 sessions per week. The Fragment injection protocol was considered to be 250 picograms per kilogram of body weight per day. Samples were evaluated 48 hours after the last training session. Statistical analysis of the data using the software SPSS version 26, using OneWay ANOVA and post hoc Tukey tests at the significant level (P<0/05) was carried out. Results: CK18 showed a significant decrease compared to the control group only in group E(P=0. 00). HOMA-IR index had a significant decrease in E (P=0. 00) and EA (P=0. 03) groups, but no significant changes in A group. Changes in AST were not significant in any of the groups. ALT levels in all three groups of E (P=0. 00), A(P=0. 00) and EA(P=0. 00) were significantly lower than the control group. Conclusion: Despite not having a negative effect on AOD9604, endurance training alone showed a better response to this peptide. It seems that fragmentation along with exercise can be effective in improving fatty liver syndrome.

Introduction: The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of regular aerobic exercise and vitamin D supplementation on hepatic apoptosis in rats exposed to oxygenated water (H2O2). Methods: For this purpose, 60 adult male Wistar rats weighed 220± 20 g were randomly divided into ten groups (n=6 in each group) including: control group (C), H2O2 (H), double H2O2 (2H), H2O2 + Vitamin D3 Supplement (HD), double H2O2 + Vitamin D3 Supplement (2HD), H2O2+ Exercise (HE), double H2O2+ Exercise (2HE), H2O2 + Vitamin D3 Supplement + Exercise (HDE), double H2O2 + Vitamin D3 + Exercise (2HDE) and Dimethyl Sulfoxide + Saline (DMSO). Then, the animals were exposed to oxidative stress (intraperitoneal injection of H2O2 3 times a week), vitamin D3 (intraperitoneal injection daily) and daily treadmill exercise for 8 weeks (duration of training sessions 30 to 60 min, at speeds of 8 to 20 m/min). The rats were sacrificed 24 hours after the last training session and liver tissue was extracted and Fas and c-FLIP protein concentration was measured by ELISA method. One-way ANOVA was used to compare the between groups differences. Results: The results showed that Fas protein levels were higher in the H, 2H, HD and 2HD groups compared to the control group (P<0. 05) and of c-FLIP protein level was lower in the H and 2H groups compared to the control group (P<0. 05). The 2HE and 2HDE groups also showed less Fas protein level compared to the 2H group (P<0. 05). In addition, the HE group compared to the H group and 2HE and 2HDE groups compared to the 2H group showed higher levels of c-FLIP protein concentration (P<0. 05). Conclusion: Overall, the results of the present study showed that exposure of rats to H2O2 initiates apoptotic cascade in liver tissue. However, regular treadmill exercise was able to attenuate this effect to a large extent, but vitamin D3 supplementation did not.

Introduction: Excess fluoride ions in drinking water cause several diseases so the defluoridation of drinking water for removing the excess fluoride is necessary for human health. Hence this work describes fluoride removal from water using MgFe2O4-chitosan nanocomposite. Methods: In this work, a nitrate salt of Mg and Fe was used to synthesis MgFe2O4 through a combustion route. Then MgFe2O4-chitosan nanocomposite was synthesized using epichlorohydrin as a linker. Characterization of the sorbent was performed with FESEM, TEM, VSM, EDX, and XRD techniques. Effective parameters on the adsorption process such as pH, contact time, adsorbent dosage, and fluoride concentration were optimized by response surface methodology (RSM) using Box-Behnken design (BBD). Isotherm study was studied at the fluoride concentration range of 10-100 mg/L. Results: The optimum value of pH, contact time, adsorbent dosage, and fluoride concentration was 2. 8, 4. 5 min, 19. 0 mg, and 28. 87 mg/L, respectively. At the optimum condition, the maximum removal efficiency was 98. 1%. Results showed that the adsorption process followed the Langmuir model with a capacity of 181. 1 mg/g. Conclusion: The result of the present work showed that the nanohybrid has good potential as a cheap magnetic sorbent for environmental remediation purpose as can be used for effective removal of fluoride from water solution.

Introduction: Wound is one of the clinical problems and can be acute or chronic. Due to the importance of wound management and treatment, it is one of the medical priorities. Any product and process that can minimize wound healing time can solve problems. Help patients. Wound healing is a complex and biologically dynamic process that involves the interaction of cellular and biochemical processes. This study was designed and performed to investigate the comparative effect of ivy and geranium extract on shear wound healing in rats. Methods: In this experimental study, male Wistar rats weighing 200-250 g were used. Mice were divided into four groups of ten, which included groups without treatment (negative control), treatment with osrine (positive control), treatment with geranium extract ointment and treatment with ivy extract. In this experiment, mice were anesthetized with 5% ketamine and 2% xylazine before wounding. In the area of the skin behind the body and the midline near the injured spine, a circular incision was made in the shape of a circle with a radius of 1. 5 cm and an approximate area of 7 cm2. Treatment was performed in rats once daily for 14 days. The ointment was made using osrine (ointment base) and ivy and geranium extract. Wound area was measured on days 2, 5, 8, 11, 14 after incision. Results: The studies showed a healing process in the treatment groups of ivy and geranium extract and showed a significant increase in the percentage of wound healing compared to the negative and positive control groups (P<0. 05). The healing process in both extracts was slightly different from each other. The results also showed that there was no significant difference in the percentage of wound healing between the negative control group (without treatment) and positive (Osrine recipient) and osrine had no effect on wound healing (P<0. 05). Conclusion: This study showed that ivy and geranium extract ointment accelerates the healing process of incisional wounds in rats.
