Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of instructional design principles applied to learning and retention in multimedia learning environments. This is an experimental study with pre-test and post test design. Statistical population consisted of all students majoring at Educational Sciences at Boukan Payame Noor University (N=540). The sample included 180 students (110 male and 70 femal), assigned by simple random sampling to experimental (n=90, 55m, 35f) and control (n=90, 35m, 35f) groups. Instruments: learning and retention were measured by pre test and post test on Statistics. The formal validity of measures was confirmed by academics with relevant expertise in measurement and statistics. Compliance to instructional design principles was measured by software based on Van Merrienboer and Kester's (2005) 14 instructional design principles was measured. Data were collected by a questionnaire developed by the researcher. Results showed that the application of instructional design principles had a significant impact on increasing learning and retention in experimental group (p£0.01).

Abstract: 

This study was aimed at exploring mechanisms for improving effectiveness of research grants at shahid Beheshti University. A questionnaire was administered to a sample of 234 academics from various faculties.Results in dictated that research grant had substantially increased during 1384-87. Basic science had the highest share of research funds where as Arts had the lowest one.Finally, it was suggested that deregulation and facilitation of procedures would enhance research profile of academic staff.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to explore relationship between spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence among senior middle school girls in the Tehran 15th School District. A sample of 100 students was selected using cluster random sampling. Data were collected by two separate questionnaires. Results showed significant relationship between spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence. More specifically, findings showed significant relationships between spiritual intelligence and components of emotional intelligence including self-awareness, self-control, empathy, and self-motivation and communication skills. However, no relation was found between spiritual intelligence and self-control.

Abstract: 

To fulfill psychological and spiritual needs of adolescents and youth and their mental well-being is vital to achieve human excellence.The aim of this study was to examine how well religious text books of second-grade students in high schools with the necessary psychological and spiritual needs from the viewpoint of relevant teachers in the city of Uroumia. In this survey data were gathered by a Likert type questionnaire was developed by the researchers and administered to the sample. Results showed that the text book would adequately fulfill the first three psychological needs (self-esteem, belonging, independence) whereas it failed to sufficiently fulfill the next three psychological needs (love, expression, security, purposefulness and discipline). In terms of spiritual needs, the textbook proved to be relatively appropriate. The results of this study provide insights into the capability of religious textbooks in fulfilling both psychological and spiritual needs of high school students.

Abstract: 

The aim of this study is Identification of the effectiveness of employee training on the staff empowerment in Keshavarzi Bank. This study is done by survey –Descriptive method. The research population is, all employees who participated in the Training courses in Keshavarzi Bank at west region of Tehran and Their managers by Using Cluster random sampling method 124 employees were selected. Statistical methods such as T Single sample, Multivariate analysis of variance and Pearson correlation coefficient are used. The results show that from managers and staff point of view, training Has been effective on the Components of goals clearance “3.798”, Fair treatment “5.193”, promote teamwork “2.803”, Creating of Constructive communication “8.80” and promotion of spirit “4.225”.but has not any effect in connection with the Components of spirit of Participation “0.060” and Creating Healthy working environment “0.850”.The result also show that there is a significant relationship between the total number of training courses the and employee empowerment “0.585”.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to develop a model for increasing research productivity of faculty members at Shahid Beheshti University. Using the mixed (explanatory) methods design, the researcher conducted in-depth interviews with seven groups of key informants to develop this model. Appling the open, axial and selective encoding, the initial research productivity model for the faculty members was obtained. In this study, the initial model, mediating factors, intervening levels, results, implications, and contextual factors are discussed. Using quantitative research and questionnaire, this model was tested and approved. In quantitative research, structured interviews with experts were conducted on the basis of the questionnaire developed by the researcher. The content of the questionnaire included factors of research productivity, facilitators, outcomes and settings in order to reveal research productivity. Subscales of the questionnaire were: the mediating internal and external factors (75 items), the facilitators of research productivity (10 items), the results (11 items) and finally the contextual factors (6 items). The reliability of the subscales of the questionnaire was satisfactory, with alpha coefficients ranging from ranging from 0.72 to 0.92. A sample of 72 faculty members from 16 faculties and research centers at Shahid Beheshti University, has examined the initial model. Finally, data were analyzed using structural equation modeling.

Abstract: 

Was aimed at comparing academic achievement of children in traditional and modern families. The statistical population included 666 students. This study is a correlational research and data were collected using a questionnaire developed by the researchers. Results indicated that parenting styles could predict academic achievement.Specifically, modern parenting style was related to academic achievement of students whereas no relationship was found between other parenting styles and academic achievement.
