Introduction: Shoulder overuse injuries can cause pain, limitation of shoulder motion, associated with abnormalities in the head, neck, shoulders and back posture which affect upper extremity's functions. Stretching and strengthening exercises, as an effective way, are recommended to improve scapular position, back, head and shoulder posture in shoulder overuse syndrome. The purpose of this study was to evaluate head and shoulder posture as well as the effect of therapeutic exercises to improve head and shoulder girdle posture, thoracic spine curvature and scapular position in patients with shoulder overuse syndrome. Methods: This is a Quasi-Experimental study, was conducted on 36 eligible patients with shoulder overuse syndrome. Before and after 6-week exercise therapy protocol; scapular protraction, rotation and symmetry, forward shoulder and head posture as well as thoracic spine curvature was measured. Results: The results of this study revealed a significant improvement in scapular protraction, forward head posture and mid thoracic curvature (p<0.0001), but there was no significant differences in scapular rotation and symmetry. Conclusion: Our findings indicate the effectiveness of 6-weeks exercise therapy protocol in improvement of head, shoulder, scapula and mid thoracic posture.

Introduction: The main aim of the present research is to find the effectiveness of mindfullness based cognitive therapy (MBCT) on quality of life in military personnel. Methods: The subjects were selected from the main population via General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) by randomized clinical trial method. Those who got high scores than cut off point in GHQ were identified as subjects and randomly were divided in two control and experimental groups. All subjects were requested to fill in the Quality of Life – the short Form- (WHO-QOL-BREF). The pre and post test as well as the follow up test were taken form the two groups. The subjects of the experimental group participated in the MBCT program (eight sessions) while the control group has not received it.Results: Analysis by Manova showed the MBCT program had significant outcome on quality of life on the experimental group. The follow up in a period of three months revealed that these outcomes were stable. Conclusion: MBCT may significantly enhance the quality of life in individuals.

Introduction: With the advent and spread of internet, this media has been used as a supplement for to provide training and information needs. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the Effect of radiation injured management education by web-based method on cognition learning levels of nursing students. Methods: This single group training trial was carried out in 2013 on 30 nursing students of AJA nursing school in Tehran, who were selected by simple randomization sampling method. Samples were trained by web-based for radiation injured management. The effect of training was measure in three levels of knowledge, apprehension and application before, immediately after training and 4 weeks later. Data were analyzed by SPSS-21 software using repeated measures ANOVA test. Results: The mean and standard deviation of scores in all learning levels (knowledge, apprehension and application) before, immediately after and 4 weeks after training were respectively 7.83±2.561, 18.57±3.308 and 10.40±2.568 (p<0.001) and significant difference was observed between the three phase in the test. The mean of scores in the post test had a greater increase but in the retention phase (4 weeks after training) had a large reduce. Conclusion: In case of optimal conditions of the time and place and existence of educational aids and in order to time saving (Possibility of 24-hour access every day of the week, flexibility this method, be independent of time and place) in some of lessons can be used this modern training method. In the other hand considering the role of motivation, learner's academic ability, learners' ability to use the computer, and necessity of the use of all training facilities on the web, recommended that studies be done in these fields.

Introduction: Reviews the history of human warfare especially in recent wars indicate many countries as hidden and apparent have access to the chemical, biological and nuclear warfare. In our country, Government of Iraq used Widely 92 time's mustard against Iranians. We are still Witness complications among victims of chemical weapons. Protections of individual and collective are the first step defense against contamination by chemical agents. Failure to proper personal protective by Iranians in Iraqi imposed war against Iran Especially the lack of mask making and or Lack of training and Culture of personal protective despite having Equipment has led victim biggest of chemical warfare on the world. This study was designed to compare the effect of conventional and simulation training on nursing students’ attitude in Personal protection in chemical attacks. Methods: In this training trials study Comparison of the effects of conventional and simulation teaching methods on nursing students’ attitude in Personal protection in chemical attacks. 78 nursing students Army University of Medical Sciences were selected and allocated randomly to two groups of simulation and conventional Education. Data collection included a researcher-made questionnaire consisting of two sections including demographic information and questionnaire to assess their attitude. Questionnaires were completed by nursing students before and two weeks after education. Its validity was determined by content validity method and its reliability by test/retest. Data was analyzed using descriptive and interpretive statistical methods and SPSS version 20.Results: Attitude scores means in the two methods of simulation and conventional education changed from 102.86 and 99.71 (P=0.177) before education to 102.75 and 105.29 (P=0.280) after education. Mean scores of attitude in the conventional method significantly increased after education (P<0.05). But there was no significant difference between the two methods concerning knowledge scores means. Conclusion: The present study showed that educational are necessary for increasing attitude. but there was no significant difference between the two methods concerning attitude scores means in Personal protection in chemical attacks.

Introduction: Kermanshah Province is one of the endemic areas of Brucellosis in Iran which is assigned as a major health problem in that region. Survey for demographic characteristics of the patients’ and alteration proess can help in declare of at risk groups. Methods: In this survey some of demographic characteristics (age, sex, literacy level, job, and life area) of all patients diagnosed for Beucellosis in Kermanshah province from 2002 to 2006 were collected and analyzed by SPSS-15 software using t-Test, One way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Chi-square and Pearson correlation ratio. Results: Total cases were 3646. Mean age of the patients in men was 30 and in women was 32.9 (P<0.01). The disease was more frequent in men (P=0.0017). There was an increase ratio of the ranchmans and decrease in urbanism during the 5 years. No changing in age and literacy was observed during the 5 years. Conclusion: In recent 5 years, increasing percent of men, age differences of men and women, increasing percent of ranchers and decreasing percent of urbanites implicate that transmission ratio of disease via professional exposures is increasing.

In dimension of presence for patients, 47.2% of nurses also received very desirable score. Findings showed that most nurses (35.1%) obtained high productivity score. Pearson correlation coefficient indicated a statistical positive relationship between total productivity score and quality of working life (p<0.05).conclusion: It is advised that managers pay more attention to quality of working life in nurses and use useful motivators for them to increase quality of working life.

Abstract:

Tuberculosis has a variety of hematological manifestations. Immune thrombocytopenic purpura is an uncommon manifestation of TB. Association of immune thrombocytopenic purpura and TB is a rare condition. Antituberculosis therapy is effective on both tuberculosis and thrombocytopenia, suggesting a causal relationship between TB and ITP. We present a case of pulmonary tuberculosis with isolated thrombocytopenia.
