Abstract: 

The case of maritime safety is a major concern of the International Maritime Organization. One of the most important areas of maritime safety is the Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping (STCW) that has always been the focus of IMO. This study seeks to examine the role of IMO in the formulation of STCW. On this basis, the descriptive-inductive method is chosen as the dominant method in this paper. IMO measures in this regard should be sought in both the structural and institutional contexts and the issuance of international regulations. On this basis, IMO formed the Maritime Safety Committee and then the Subcommittee on Human Factors, Specialized Training and Maintenance, under the supervision of the Maritime Safety Committee, on the issue of STCW. On the other hand, by adopting two basic conventions, namely the International Convention on the STCW of Seafarers and the International Convention on the STCW of Personnel Working in fishing ships, it has played an undeniable role in the field of maritime safety. Alongside these two, there is also the fifth chapter of the Convention on the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), which has played a significant role in complementing the STCW.

Abstract: 

The present study aimed to investigate the impact of religious capital on job discipline with regard to the mediating role of organizational citizenship behaviors. The research was implemented using an applied approach and a survey-correlation method. The data collection instrumentation were questionnaires. Accordingly, the questionnaire of Sepahvand et al. (2017), a researcher-made questionnaire for job discipline, and the organizational citizenship behaviors of Organ and korsky (2006) were used to measure the religious capital. The statistical population consisted of 160 staff members of Khoramshahr Marine Science and Technology University, 113 of whom were selected as sample through Cochran formula. Data were analyzed using SPSS and LISREL software. The findings indicated that religious capital had a significant and positive effect on job discipline and organizational citizenship behavior. However, the impact of organizational citizenship behavior on job discipline was not confirmed. Additionally, organizational citizenship played a mediating role in the relationship between religious capital and job discipline with a positive indirect effect. Moreover, the results of the study reveal that the individuals who are over 45 years old are more likely to adhere to job discipline. On the other hand, individuals with higher education (Masters and higher degrees) and individuals with higher work experience (5 to 10 years) are less likely to have job discipline.

Abstract: 

The present investigation aimed to examine the relationship between cultural intelligence and organizational structure with the career plateauing of employees of Ports and Maritime Organization. The research method was descriptive-correlational. To this end, 160 out of 278 employees of Amirabad and Neka Ports were selected according to Morgan Table through stratified random sampling. Data were gathered using three questionnaires, namely Earley & Ang's Cultural Intelligence Standard (2004), Ranaee Kordesholi's Organizational Structure (2013), and Milliman Career Plateau Survey (1992). Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling and PLS and SPSS software. The findings indicated that there was a relationship between motivational and behavioral factors of cultural intelligence as well as between non-formalization and decentralization with career plateauing of the employees; however, no significant relationship was observed between strategic and knowledge factors with career plateauing.

Abstract: 

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of emotional intelligence and its components on organizational agility among staff of Imam Khomeini Nava; academy in Nowshahr. This is an applied study and its method is descriptive-survey. The statistical population consisted of 588 staff of Imam Khomeini Naval Academy. The sample size was 233 people using Morgan table and they were selected through stratified random sampling. Data collection tool was a questionnaire and research data were collected using Coleman Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (2001) and Nikpour and Salajegah Organizational Agility Ability Questionnaire (2012). Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression were used for data analysis and hypothesis testing by SPSS software. The findings of the study indicate that there is a significant relationship between the components of emotional intelligence and organizational agility capabilities.

Abstract: 

Nowadays, the universities of the country have considered commercialization of academic research as a source of economic growth as one of the main missions and functions alongside education and research. The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing the commercialization of innovative technology-based academic research in the faculties of marine science of technical and vocational universities. Accordingly, while comprehensively reviewing the topical research literature, a three-dimensional conceptual model with thirteen components of factors influencing commercialization of academic research was designed and based on this a 66-item questionnaire was designed and then distributed to the faculties of marine science of the statistical society (170 technical and vocational universities of the country) and 108 questionnaires were collected from all over the country. SPSS and PLS software were used for data analysis. After confirming the reliability, the results of T-test showed that the underlying factors had the greatest impact on the commercialization of innovative technology-based academic research in technical and vocational universities.

Abstract: 

The general purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between the type of affirmative or implicit curriculum and critical thinking of Imam Khomeini Naval Academy’ s students in Nowshahr. The research method is descriptive-correlational and the population of the study is all the 768 students of this academy. The sampling method of the study is stratified random sampling and according to Morgan table the sample size is 260 students. Data gathering tools include Affirmative Curriculum (Izadi, 2009) and Critical Thinking Questionnaires (California form). Both research instruments have Likert scale with interval scale. Cronbach's alpha reliability were 0. 72 (affirmative curriculum) and 0. 80 (critical thinking), respectively. Correlation and regression methods were used for statistical analysis. According to the results, the correlation coefficient between affirmative curriculum and critical thinking was 0. 165 and on the other hand, the calculated correlation of affirmative curriculum from organizational structure dimension was a positive relationship between social atmosphere (0. 126) and teacher-student interaction (0. 082) and each of the dimensions of the affirmative curriculum could predict critical thinking.

Abstract: 

The main purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between work-life balance and organizational health among staff of Imam Khomeini Naval University of Noshahr. The research method of the study was descriptive survey. Ninety-two employees were selected as the statistical sample through Morgan Table and simple random sampling. Data collection tools comprised Fisher's Work-Life Balance Questionnaire (2004) with a reliability of 0. 880, as well as Organizational Health Questionnaire of Hui et al. (1996) with a reliability of 0. 903. Confirmatory factor analysis with LISREL software was also utilized to assess the validity of the questionnaires. Data were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics (including Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, correlation coefficient, and stepwise regression test) using SPSS software. The findings revealed that there was a positive and significant relationship between work-life balance and its four components (commitment, cooperation, discipline, and flexibility) with organizational health of the employees of Imam Khomeini Naval University of Noshahr. Moreover, the results of stepwise regression indicated that 52. 3% of organizational health changes were explained by three variables of flexibility, cooperation and commitment.

Abstract: 

The present study aimed to investigate the pathology and provided some suggestions for promoting the training and human capital performance in productive companies using the Diamond Excellence Model. After data collection, quantitative analysis, and conducting a site visit, priority standards for attention as well as priority standards for action, including leadership, service quality, service strategy, and organizational structure were identified. Abstract: 

The aim of this study is to provide a model for the development of ready-made officers and strategic naval commissioners of AJA Strategic Naval based on professional ethics and organizational culture. Research method in terms of practical-developmental purpose; In terms of data collection method, it was descriptive-survey and in terms of data type, it was a combination (qualitative-quantitative). The statistical population of the qualitative part of the research included experts, university professors and faculty members, commanders and senior managers of the Armed Forces and other maritime organizations. He had a record of service and a minimum of a bachelor's degree or higher and 1535 people. The sample size in the qualitative section was determined using the principle of theoretical saturation of 20 people and these people were selected by the targeted method and in the quantitative section using the Cochran's formula 320 people were determined as the sample and these people were selected by stratified random sampling method. . Data collection tools were in the qualitative section, semi-structured interviews, and in the quantitative section, a 167-question questionnaire (including a researcher-made questionnaire and two standard questionnaires of organizational culture, professional ethics). The method of data analysis in the qualitative section was the data method; Also, in a small part, descriptive statistics methods including mean, standard deviation, tables, shapes and graphs were used. The research results show that the components obtained for the development of ready officers and naval commissioners of the Strategic Naval Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran based on professional ethics and organizational culture, including training, self-confidence, empowerment, modeling and modeling, selection and employment, creativity, creation Optimal behavior is performance appraisal and motivation. Also, the study of the components of development of ready officers and naval commissioners indicates the favorable situation of these components in the strategic navy of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
