Abstract

The present investigation aimed to examine the relationship between Cultural Intelligence and Organizational Structure with the Career Plateauing of employees of Ports and Maritime Organization. The research method was descriptive-correlational. To this end, 160 out of 278 employees of Amirabad and Neka Ports were selected according to Morgan Table through stratified random sampling. Data were gathered using three questionnaires, namely Earley & Ang's Cultural Intelligence Standard (2004), Ranaee Kordesholi's Organizational Structure (2013), and Milliman Career Plateau Survey (1992). Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling and PLS and SPSS software. The findings indicated that there was a relationship between motivational and behavioral factors of Cultural Intelligence as well as between non-formalization and decentralization with Career Plateauing of the employees; however, no significant relationship was observed between strategic and knowledge factors with Career Plateauing.
