After data analysis, 4 main themes and 16 sub-themes were extracted. It was revealed that in the definition of Job Burnout, examples, Sources, and Job Burnout relief strategies, there is a consistency between the teachers' lived experiences and background.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of computer literacy among the teachers of public high schools in Khorramabad city. The present study is an applied research which uses descriptive-survey method for data collection purposes. The statistical population of the study consisted of all the teachers of public high schools (level 1) in Khorramabad city (N=1083) in the academic year of 1397-98. The sample of the study was selected based on cluster sampling procedure, using Krejcy Morgan's (1970) table (N=411). To analyze the data, independent-samples T-test, Friedman rank test, and one-way analysis of variance were used. The data collection instrument was a researcher-made computer literacy questionnaire. The results of the research showed that in general, teachers rated their computer literacy lower than the average, and their skills in using the Internet and WORD were higher than other computer skills. There was no meaningful relationship between the level of computer literacy and the demographic characteristics of the target sample, including gender, teaching experience and academic qualifications.

Abstract:

Culture is one of the most important and frequently used concepts in social sciences. Achieving such a position in theory and practice is due to numerous experiences in the new era to identify key variables in the developments of human societies. Of the different cultural functions, one can point to its role in the classroom, especially while learning new ways, including Flipped learning, which has been investigated in this study. In other words, the main purpose of this study is to examine the Flipped learning culture in the classroom. This research is a qualitative study based on grounded theory. The research field of this study is the fifth and sixth grades of elementary schools in the city of Neishabur in the academic year of 1395-96 (2016-2017). The main data collection instrument is semi-structured interview, and the participants are five elementary teachers who implemented the Flipped Learning method. Collected data was analyzed by Strauss and Corbin coding method, and was validated via Goba and Lincoln quadratic criteria. The results showed that in order to create a learning culture in Flipped way, we should consider factors such as teacher's full mastery, students’ motivation, teacher's belief in the ability to do work, school and management incentive policies, resources and facilities needed, school encouragement, family awareness, classroom dynamics, teacher's belief in the effectiveness of Flipped learning, teacher's belief in student knowledge, teacher's up-to-date information, traditional frameworks and laws, cultural preconceptions covert in the role of teacher and the interest in being driven by the teacher.

Abstract:

The present research studies the effectiveness of social competence intervention program on symptoms of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) among male elementary school students in Sanandaj. This research is an experimental study, including pretest-posttest-follow up and control group. The research instrument used in this study was Conners Parent Rating of Childhood Behavior Problems. 36 male students, who were suffering from attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), were selected by simple random sampling method from elementary schools in Sanandaj, and were assigned to two groups: social competence and control (18 students each). Before starting the treatment, a pretest was given to both groups. Then, the experimental group was exposed to social competence intervention program. At the end of the treatment, a post-test and 1 month later a follow-up test was administered to two groups. The results showed that intervention social competence has meaningfully decreased (p<0. 001) the symptoms of attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder in the posttest and follow-up test. Also, social competence intervention program has meaningfully decreased the attention deficit and hyperactivity subscales (p<0. 001). Social competence intervention program is significantly effective in decreasing sympotoms of attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and applying these methods is recommended to counselors and psychologists.

Abstract:

One of the attributes that is associated to teachers’ success and failure is self-efficacy. But the key question is, is it possible to predict self-efficacy of high school teachers based on the career concerns component. The aim of the present study is to predict self-efficacy based on the career concerns component of Female high school teachers. This research is descriptive and correlational. The statistical population of the study includes all female high school teachers of High schools in district 15 of Tehran in the 96-97 academic year. 155 teachers who were selected based on multi-stage cluster sampling completed the questionnaire. In order to investigate the relationship between occupational concerns and self-efficacy, the Professional Concerns Questionnaire of Super, and the Self-Efficacy Scale developed by Sherer et al. were employed. The data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and concurrent multiple regression. The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and job discovery stage, the stage of cooperation cut-off, the stage of engagement of job, while there was no statistically significant correlation between self-efficacy, survival and maintenance and career change stage. Regression analysis showed that predictor variables including job discovery stage, working stage, survival and maintenance phase, discontinuation phase, and job change stage accounted for 8% of the variance of self-efficacy variable. By considering the concern variable along with other factors affecting self-efficacy, one can expect teachers to improve self-efficacy.

Abstract:

Narration and storytelling are tied to the lives of all humans. It is as if every human being is a story who must be narrated in order to be understood. In the same vein, the world of education is also the world of stories and narratives. Narratives of successes and failures in teaching and learning, and stories of students, teachers, managers, and other education practitioners they've encountered in their career. Therefore, it can be said that much education knowledge is embedded in life experiences and stories. Accordingly, the purpose of the present study was to apply a document analysis approach based on objective examples to identify and classify the types of narratives in the field of education. The findings showed that narrative methods can be classified based on different criteria: In terms of interpreting experiences, three types of individual, collaborative, and dialogic; In terms of narrator type, two types of autobiography and biography; In terms of the source of the narrative, four types of daily, individual, group, and adaptive; in terms of writing style, two types of public and academic; In terms of the angle of view, three types of first person, second person and third person; and in terms of the foundation of the narrative, two types of reality-based and imagination-based. These divisions can be helpful to introduce people to a variety of educational narratives.
