Background and Aim: MOOC stands for Massive Open Online Course and is an instructional approach that allows hundreds of thousands of students to access--typically free of charge--online courses anywhere around the world. The continuous and rapid growth of MOOCs has attracted the attention of educational community and has gained widespread popularity among many universities. Therefore, based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model, an applied research was conducted to study medical students' acceptance to use MOOCs. Materials and Methods: It is a descriptive survey that has been done in 2019. The sample consisted of 367 randomly selected students of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences (SUMS). The data collection tool was a questionnaire, the validity and reliability of which were confirmed. The data were analyzed by SPSS and LISREL 8. 8 software. Results: An important part of the results revealed that there was a positive meaningful relationship between "performance expectancy" and "behavioral intention", "effort expectancy" and "behavioral intention", "facilitating conditions" and "use of the system", and "behavioral intention" and "use of the system". Conclusion: According to the results of this study, MOOC managers' motivation to implement the system effectively strongly depends on the behavioral intention of users, especially students' willingness to accept and use the system.

Abstract:

Background and Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the health literacy of patients referring to specialist physicians' offices in the city of Kermanshah. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive analytical cross-sectional study. The population of the study (patients and their companions) included those referring to specialist physicians' offices. In 2017, 380 people were randomly selected and were studied during three months. The data collection tool was Health Literacy for Iranian Adults Assessment Questionnaire. Its validity was confirmed by specialists and its reliability turned out to be 0. 89 by Cronbach's alpha. Data were analyzed by statistical tests (Spearman's correlation, Mann– Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis test) using SPSS software. Results: The findings of the study showed that the health literacy of patients and their relatives, referring to physicians' offices in the city of Kermanshah, was relatively favorable, i. e., more than average. The three sources of "the Internet", "questions asked from doctors and medical staff" and "radio and television" are the priorities of information or health literacy. The results showed that people's health literacy was different in terms of age, sex, education, and occupation. Conclusion: The results of this study revealed that often those people who have low and limited health literacy are among vulnerable community groups (having old ages, low educational levels, and low income). So, considering the health information needs and health literacy of vulnerable groups and designing simple and targeted education using the appropriate media are recommended.

Abstract:

Background and Aim: The purpose of this study was to introduce a new model for indicator of letters in office automation of Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Materials and Methods: The present study was an applied research and a developmental study in which old automation method has been modified to new model. Regarding to the dispersion of codes assigned to letters, there was no specific order in the codes of both old and new units defined in the system. In addiotion the letter indicators in the office automation system of university in combination with letters and numbers was done without classification. The decision was made to correct it in the office automation system. In the new model, numbering the correspondence based on the frequency of each university unit's subdivision was described and the proposed model was presented. Results: According to the new numerical model, integrated codes were assigned which were entirely numerical or the combination of numbers. Due to the abundance of units covered by the university, the research centers allocate the largest number to themselves. Therefore, a larger range of indicator codes for these units was considered than for other sections. Conclusion: This model provides a new model for implementation of office automation indicator code in Tehran University of Medical Sciences and facilitates the search of letters based on the defined number.

Abstract:

Background and Aim: Infertility is a chronic disease with a long-term treatment and self-care leads to an increase in the level of knowledge and awareness about the disease. Moreover, smartphones provide access to information at any time and place; therefore, by using the mobile-based assisted reproductive technology, a self-care application program can be a good choice to help people gain awareness and improve the treatment. Materials and Methods: Library resources and related and similar applications were studied. Then, data items and the sections required for applied program were identified. To study their importance, a survey was performed on the working members of Iran Helal Infertility Specialty Center. Out of the 35 members of the research community, 20 were randomly selected. The survey questionnaire was made with 32 questions in three sections. In this survey, the data model framework was confirmed; however, the basis of the tools framework didn't need the confirmation of validity and reliability since the data model was designed based on the reference. With summarization of responses, data items and sections specified in designing the program were applied. Results: The mean of the scores showed that the respondents had identified most of the items as essential. This survey had three main axes. The mean scores of axes of patient information, patient education, and disease management tools are 4. 205, 4. 402 and 4. 275, respectively. The mean scores above 4 show that their effectiveness is very high. Conclusion: Considering the results, the designed application program can be helpful for patients.

Abstract:

Background and Aim: Job stress is one of the reasons of low motivation and leaving one's job, and its reduction can have positive consequences. According to studies, staff's development and their positive self concept toward workplace can reduce job stress. The aim of this research is to study the effect of human resource development on job stress with regard to the mediator role of self concept in Shiraz University of Medical Sciences(SUMS). Materials and Methods: This is a correlational descriptive study. The research community included 584 staff members, of whom 234 were selected using Morgan's table in 2018. To collect data, 3 standard questionnaires were used, and their content validity and reliability were confirmed. For data analysis, structural equation modeling and Amos and SPSS softwares were used. Results: The findings showed that human resource development had a reverse effect on staff job stress(path coefficient-0. 778). Moreover, human resource development had a direct effect on job stress(path coefficient 0. 843), but staff self concept did not have any effect on job stress(path coefficient 0. 166). Since the paths of human resource development-self concept and self concept-job stress were not meaningful, human resource development did not have any effect on job stress by way of the mediator variable of self concept in confidence level 0. 95. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, conducting the staff's continuous development to promote their skills and abilities for declining job stress is emphasized.
