This study was intended to compare the criteria for spouse selection under two circumstances (at the beginning of marriage and present time) on a Sample of husband and wives in Shiraz. Through cluster sampling 1086 subjects (543 couple) were selected. The tool of the research was a Self-constructed Questionnaire of criteria for spouse selection with 2 dimensions: a) Content criteria, b) process criteria. The results showed that: 1) Females prefer content criteria for spouse selection more than males do; 2) There are a correlation between criteria for spouse selection at the beginning of marriage and present time (at least 5 years after marriage) in both sexes; 3) There was correlation between content criteria and age, level of education and job among males; 4) There was correlation between process criteria and interaction of job and level of education, There was correlation between process criteria and job, and interaction age and level of education in females.

The present study was aimed to compare self- concept with vocational aspirations and personality type in Pre-university students in Shahre-Kord. Two hundred students who were studying in natural sciences, mathematics and humanities were selected by random sampling. The research instruments are Rajers's self – concept test and Holland Vocational – Educational Interest Inventory. The data was analyzed by multivariable variance, The first hypothesis was: There is the congruence between personality type, and vocational aspirations of pre – college students in the past and present. The results of X was significant (P<0.05) except for conventional type, realistic type and enterprising type. Also the results of X showed meaningful difference in congruence for the second vocational aspirations. Other findings showed meaningful difference between self – concept in two sexes. Girls personality is different from the boys personality type. The boys were more the investigate type; and the girls of the social type.

The aim of the present study is to investigate the relationship of the Big Five Personality Factors of Neuroticism, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Openness To Experience and Conscientiousness to marital satisfaction. The sample included married students at Public Universities of Tehran living at the Dormitories. They were composed of 174 married students (87 couples) selected via multi-stage random sampling. ENRICH and NEO-FF-I Questionnaires were used for data collecting. The results of correlation coefficient showed that the big five factors of neuroticism had significant and negative correlation; extraversion, agreeableness conscientiousness had significant and positive correlation with marital satisfaction. No significant correlation between openness and marital satisfaction was found. Furthermore, the results of multivariate regression analysis showed that the among the big five, only neuroticism, and also. Agreeableness had the highest correlation with marital satisfaction; and had the power of significant prediction.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of job searching skills based on job search club approach on self efficacy and hardiness in university students. For this purpose, students of Islamic Azad University, Kangavar Branch were invited by summoning to participate in job searching skills workshop. From the registered students, 58 individual who scored lowest in the pretest were taken as the study sample. 30 subjects (15 females & 15 males) were selected randomly and placed in experimental and control groups. Experimental groups participated in job searching skill workshops but control groups received no treatment. Study results (using t-test) showed that the job searching skills workshops based on job search club approach increased student's self efficacy and hardiness.

The purpose of this is investigation of the effect of arbitration on decrease of tendency to divorce among married couple who applied for divorce, as well as comparing it with the process of counseling. In this study, 15 couple arbitration and 15 couple counseling were selected from married couples from "family intervention center" of Welfare Organization of Isfahan. To analyze the data Sanai & Barati's tendency to Divorce Questionnaire or (couple conflict Questionnaire) was used. The results show that the process of arbitration doesn't have influenced decrease of tendency to divorce among marries couples who applied for divorce (P>0.05), whereas the process of counseling has influenced decrease of tendency to divorce among married couples (P>0.05). None of the processes, namely arbitration and counseling showed among difference the sexes (P>0.05).

This research aimed at studying the effects of Ellis's rational- emotive- behavioral group counseling on self-esteem of third grade middle school female students in Behbahan. The target population encompasses all third grade middle school students female of Behbahan in the academic year 1386-87. Participants of the study consisted of 48 students suffering from low self-esteem. These students were randomly selected using the multistage method and were divided into two control and experimental groups. The instruments in this study was: Cooper Smith’s Self-esteem Questionnaire. Reliability and validity of the present study were analyzed. The design of the study was based on the pre-test, post-test and control group. The self-esteem questionnaire was given to the participants as the pre-test. Those who scored a standard deviation lower than the mean were selected as the subjects. Implementing the Ellis's rational- emotive- behavioral group counseling on the experimental group during 12 ninety-minute sessions. In order to analyze the data, mean and standard deviation, multi variation covariance (MANCOVA) and (ANCOVA) were applied. The results showed that Ellis's rational- emotive- behavioral group counseling increased self-esteem of the experimental group compared to the control group. The significance level in this research was p>0.05.

In the current research, effectiveness of stress inoculation training method and acceptance and commitment therapy method on reducing mathematics anxiety among second grade high school students of Isfahan city was investigated. The sample were 150 pupils randomly selected and assigned to experimental and control groups. Six groups were formed (each group consist of 25 students), namely two groups (boys and girls) for stress inoculation training, two groups (boys and girls) for acceptance and commitment therapy; and two groups (boys and girls) of control. Two methods were used as intervention (stress inoculation training and acceptance and commitment therapy). Math. Anxiety scale and clinical interview were used as research instruments. Analysis of variance with repeated measure results indicated that there is significant discrepancy between groups. Post- hoc test of Schefe was used, which indicated that both group of intervention decrement the anxiety relative to control group. Also, the obtained results indicate that stress inoculation training was more effective than acceptance and commitment therapy.
