Abstract

Since the 1960s, information technologies have gradually influenced LIBRARIES and information centers so extensively that have led their serving forms and methods to adopting substitute self-service methods. Web technologies are bases of the newest serving channels in LIBRARIES (especially academic LIBRARIES). These new channels include various services such as magazine bases, online catalogues, information resources; electronic reference services and ect. Nowadays, large number of academic LIBRARIES have provided their users whit these services. However, LIBRARIES cannot achieve their goals (of designing and budgeting these technologies) and enjoy their extensive and useful results unless users accept to adopt these services. Using a corpus-based approach, this study aims at investigating some related research and review articles for recognition and analysis of adoption theories, applicable in assessing ELECTRONIC SERVICES in LIBRARIES. We hope to provide researchers with some valuable instruments for studying technological systems’ adoption rate and predicting library users’ behaviors. Furthermore, we hope to lay a research foundation and pave the way for more serious and more extensive studies to be conducted in the future.
