Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the role of HEALTH LOCUS OF CONTROL and CAUSALITY ORIENTATIONS in SELF-CARE BEHAVIORS in-patient with type II diabetes. For analyzing data descriptive statistics, correlation coefficient, regression analysis, and independent t test were used. Results revealed that SELF-CARE BEHAVIORS did have a significant positive association with Internal HEALTH LOCUS OF CONTROL and negative association with chance locus of control. But there was not significant relationship between power others and SELF-CARE BEHAVIORS. Moreover, there was positive relationship between self care behaviors and autonomy, and significant negative association between SELF-CARE BEHAVIORS and Impersonal orientation. The results also revealed that internal control did have more roles in predicting SELF-CARE BEHAVIORS. In addition, the males and females did not differ significantly in SELF-CARE BEHAVIORS, HEALTH LOCUS OF CONTROL and CAUSALITY ORIENTATIONS.
