Abstract

Introduction: Lymphomas are a group of malignant neoplasms that affect the lymph oreticular system, especially the lymph nodes. This condition is a form of uncommon, solid malignant neoplasms with a wide spectrum of clinical and pathological features. However, lymphoma is one of the most tumors in the head and neck region and is the third most common malignant tumor in the oral cavity and maxillofacial region after squamous cell carcinoma and salivary gland neoplasms. Only 0.2‒3% of all the primary extra nodal non-Hodgkin lymphomas occur in the oral cavity.Case Report: The aim of reporting these two cases was to clinically and histopathologically evaluate two patients with primary oral non-Hodgkin lymphoma, referred to the Dental School of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences.Conclusion: Despite the low prevalence of oral lymphoma, the diagnosis of these lesions in the oral and maxillofacial region has been a matter of discussion because in many cases the clinical features are similar to inflammatory and benign lesions. The odds are high for errors in timely detection, deferring treatment. Careful examination of the lesion, appropriate radiography and patient follow-up are very important.
