Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to recognize the factors affecting WOMEN’S PARTICIPATION in decision making for the family. This research was conducted on 2008 in the new city of Baharestan (Isphahan). Theories of Weber, Callins, Ingellhart and White have been used. The research theories have been tested through a survey method and questionnaire.To analyze the data, the multivariable regression has been used. The results from the multivariable regression statistical analysis of participation in FAMILY DECISION MAKING shows that R2=.5. Among all the factors, the following variants were more determinant: duration of marriage, resident at the time of marriage, age, and man’s age at the time of marriage as well as his job. The comparison of regression quotient shows that marriage duration has the most shares in dependent variable changes.
